  1. Sorry i'm not registered! Whats on there?
  2. defo interested in the version from GBS! Anybody know if any time scales were given for the screen? Also, I have checked carbon mods, will they create a custom piece for the hood or would I have to adapt it to fit?
  3. Hi, I currently have a in-effective small aeroscreen fitted to my 2b and i would like to change it for a proper one that fits snuggly to the body. I would prefer it in carbon fibre, does anybody know where i can get this from? I have checked ebay and i have also searched the forum but the sites listed do not have what i require
  4. Hi all, I would like to remove the original standard dash from my 2b and replace it with a carbon dash or even carbon dash effect. Has anybody on here replaced their dash for a carbon one? Can you post pics
  5. Hi ppl, My 2L with twin 40s is quite thirsty on the juice at the moment returning about 18MPG on a steady run! I'm going to get Wolves Tuning round to balance the carbs and to see if they are over fuelling but i have heard alot about these bike carbs. I have searched the forum with items related to the bike carbs but there seem to be alot of discussion regarding jet sizes etc. Do you thing its worth selling the 40s and getting the bike carbs? Will it really return 30MPG at a push and still go like the clappers when needed?
  6. Hi 2B owners! I'm looking to buy a 2B but im not sure what to look out for on this particular model. We currently have a Series 3a and we know about the common issues with this model, such as the cracking of the body etc. Is there any common things to look out for on the 2B model that i should be aware of? Thanks
  7. Hi all, We have just noticed some stress cracks on our Series 3 on the top just behind the nose cone. I have searched the site for any info, but not sure on what i need to search to get the answers we want. We basically want to know what ppl have done to solve this problem. We have been told to re-weld the seam, but my dad thinks it would be better to bolt a plate over the weld aswell??

    1600 Pinto Carb

Hi all, My dad has a weber emissions carb on his 1600 pinto and we are having a few problems in 4th and 5th gear. When you are trying to maintain a steady speed of about 35-45, depending on gear, you get a sort of splutter. I cannot describe anymore than other that a jerking of the car, like the fuel has just been cut!! We have been told to get rid of the emissions carb, and get a 32/36 DGAV, as i dont feel that the car is running right to be honest as it does not like accelerating in 4th or 5th. For a car that weighs less than a ton, and 1600 engine i expected it to be quicker. According to my dad the fueling is spot on as its been set by him using the proper equipment, but do we need to do anymore to it to compensate having less weight?? Any replies would be greatly appreciated

    Sva Fail At Sherwsbury

Hi ppl, Thanks for the replying everybody and thanks to those who came round the other week! The bits have been completed (fingers crossed) and we are now going to contact Buxo Plas to have them send the spec over about the fuel pipe. Hope you dont mind us using your document to support our Buxo Plas form Enforcer?? Then hopefully we will get the car re-tested asap while the weather is still on our side , and hopefully the wheels will self centre! My dad has made adjustments but has no where to test Thanks everyone and we will let you know how we get on

    Salvage Hood

That car was severly salavaged from by me and my dad. I found the car on ebay a while ago and spoke to the guy who owned the yard. We went up and took of the parts we needed and left it pretty much as you see, although it did have wheels on the last time we saw it. We had the Silencer, propshaft and other engine bits, aswell as wipers and heaters
  15. My father has fitted a few universal joints to the steering on our series 3a! the thing is that it has a notch of moving. The wheel is very freely moved but on a certain point you can feel a notch from the universal joint Will this be a problem on the SVA????
