  1. Yeah put in 3 different plugs dan changed leads eta wondering if carb not putting enough fuel in to 3 as before it used to pop and spit flame out of no3 carb when running now nothing

    Not right up on bike carbs what could of changed from remove and refit

    Plenty of fuel in bowl

    seems to be getting fuel

    Started like it after rebuild going to double check valve clearances again but dont think its that

  2. Well think got to resign to fact wont make stoneleigh got all back together and misfiring now plug no 3 lead off no change

    Got spark

    Got compression

    Seem to be getting fuel

    No oil in cylinder

    But no3 not firing

    Was only oil causing issue before

    Going to get more fuel and have a play but later but time running out

  3. People been asking why change block what have i found

    Well nothing yet but as i know its not the head so must be the block

    Not got time or money to repair before stoneleigh and going to do it fully

    So got a good block from the saviour ivan so just got to get a sump gasket changed all seals then drop in put head on and build up

     

    Then will strip old block and investigate

  5. I know a guy dan he does a first class job and does alot of show cars he based hatfield armthorpe junction have u evere seen ruane potatoes on side of m18 just before m180 junction he in there

It was spitting and popping mainly on tickover but once played with abit drove 100% better than on weber 32/36 which was knackered but still wanted a bit of tuning but for never messed with bike carbs i was quite impressed and i wanted to rule the carb out of problems and before wednesday the oil issue never was an issue while driving

    What i mean by that was never caused an issue unless left after a run when oil seemed to stick to plug while driving it must of burned it off so lead me to head problem which wasnt solved by seals

    Spoke to headmasters and they said all they did was skim and they didnt pressure test head or check guides as trainee didnt put that on paperwork when dropped off as i asked so head could have issues and was going to wait till after stoneleigh to strip due to going on holiday at weekend so wudnt have time to sort but that wasnt an option after wednesday

    So hoping that the head swop sorts it if not i either got to swop engine with one i can get hold of till rebuild mine or miss stoneleigh

    Dont mean to wind people up and i do appreciate advice just wanted as rich said to enjoy summer then rebuild but that plan out now

  7. I have fitted new head few bits to connect up hopefully its head at fault if not then will rebuild bottom end

    And just to clarfy with bike carbs was running great till misfire so hopefully will all be good give it ago tomorrow thanks for input guys hopefully see u at stoneleigh

  8. Well set off to the meet wednesday with new carbs and standard dizzy and bike fuel pump

    Was going great it flew and apart from drinking fuel fuel gauge dropping with revs(set up required ) over fuelin

    Then half way there cud of swore there was a pop then major misfire

    Pulled over pulled number 3 plug lead and end stayed on plug so thought that problem so bodge repaired but still misfire took plug out cleaned al seemed good half mile down rd misfire again nursed to meet

    Did same again then few mile home misfire again nursed to stus fitted new plug and lead and drove fine home

    So nxt day checked spark and seemed weak so tempoary fitted megajolt what a spark difference started and tick over brilliant hardly any spitting or popping then misfire pulled leads off when got to number 3 made no difference plug fouled again

    When engine cooled checked compressions all 4 125psi on cold engine so back to square 1 going to fit spare head and if does it with different head then bottom end rebuild

    When look through plug hole the bottom rim of valve its black with what looks like oil

  9. Right got cable on on and working

    Pump tempoary position and plumbed up in boot ready for roadtest

    Popping through exhaust and spitting from carbs gets abit better when warm what best thing to calm this untill gets rolling rd when megajolt fitted

    May risk to meet tomorow night aa card with me lol

  10. Yeah it does yeah the issue i got is the amount of striping to get to pedal is silly the builder over engineered it

    I will have to sort this make it acessible without having to remove servo etc

    The advice is great guys

  11. Thanks nigel i think i spotted where cable fits in carb linkage carbs off again

    Ordered a cable from burton power that connects on sierra peal balljoint so that easy and just need a 5.5 nipple when cable comes for carb end hopefully

    Starts and revs sound just popping on warm up once warm fine just sprays abit of fuel out carbs

    Will test drive wen got cable then if ok will leave as is till i rewire megajolt so fingers crossed
