Just fitted a used weber 32/36 that I got of Ivan so I know good but struggling to set mixture as really sooty (rich) done the 1 and half turns out etc what's best why of setting up the car including mixture dizzy timing etc etc as I used £15 fuel doing about 40-50 miles tops and a bit of running trying to set it up and now fuels less power than before could carb be at fault timing etc any advice please

Also got rid of fuel regulator just wondering what I can do for air intake for carb as the foam filter I got is pushed on by bonnet what I could do qwith is some sort of box on top of carb with pipe to nose cone area the a cone filter on biksz (stu ) got similar got it off someone on here anyone's know where I can get one or is a job for rich (steamer)

  3. Maybe not sure just know I getting a bit upset wi car only drove less than a mile in car and that was with prob now all legal and can't go out in it just put it in garage and walked away

  4. Took hood for not today first drive since I bought and first one for 15 years for hood its been fine driving round field but on way to test station had put foot down didn't feel as quick as it should then the revs stuck on as if cable or pedal stuck down either was the case the front idle screw fully wound off and no change any ideas guys pierburg 2v carb auto chock

  5. the cable is slack and returns to bump stop fully off defintley internal fault

    thinking diaphram or a vacum diahram or jet got some dirt in or flap stuck been sat for 15 year been ok round field but once on road and put foot down this lol

    passed mot as i know him and didnt need anything else

    so carb strip tomorrow evening and weber in winter if i can keep ierburg going properly till then if can repair cheap

  6. Well got list of jobs done so ready for mot booked in Thursday so when that done time to start modifying to my taste just wanted it on road to enjoy summer
