have fitted home made bleed t piece in heater bye pass pipe that made it a lot better to remove air from system ,no header tank

hi thanks for your replys, my rad is like the gbs one with a 14" ele fan pulling air though the rad, no thermostat no heater but pipe from pump to inlet manifold ,not loosing /useing any water but running at a bougt 100 or 120 if giving it some eg 70/80 mph, new smiths gauge and sender ???? ps is now in colder weather not had chance to try in summer yet

i was told to bleed from the furthest from the m/c first then work to the m/c

has anyone got one of the folding type cover/garage with the fixed bars as i have to keep mine outside and would like something better than just a cover that i have at the moment or if you seen any point me in the right direction please

hi just got mine on the road after buying in bits, tears of joy and pain along the way but worth it,mine is a mk2 so if you are a big lad you will find it a very tight fit 2b are wider so try to have a look at different models my wife likes mine apart from messing her hair up see you are in Boston i live in kings lynn you are welcome to come over and have a look, please ask any questions you have on here as the club members are very helpful ,my membership was the best money i have spent

i have now stop it overheating at last changed the 12" fan for a 14" one and fitted a home-made bleed vent in the heater link hose between water pump and inlet manifold at the back of engine at the highest level done a app 80 miles over weekend and no loss of water, i think i will try to find a alloy twin core rad to fit to replace the old single core one so as it has more water in system to help with cooling

running with a lead substitute addictive in my petrol as i dont know if the valve seats have been done is it worth running super unleaded or just std unleaded, 2l pinto 1985 twin choke carb

hi i have a std rad cap with a overflow Bottle down the at the side of rad plastic cap none sealing the problem seems to be running at a high temperature under the bonnet and even in the leg tunnel like having a heater blowing on your legs when hot when you turn it off its sits there gurgling blowing water in the expansion bottle i know they say about air locks but yesterday i emptied system and refilled with car front wheels up a bank app 4ft high ran it up like that for 15mins with cap off will give it a run today if i time

my 2L pinto is on 32/36 std carb which i don't think is doing the engine justice performance wise what would you think my best option is fitting bike carbs, if so which ones, or is there a better carb i can fit on my std inlet manifold, twin 45s are out of my price range unless i can find some cheap , not going to do track days would just like better acceleration
