Ah, that looks perfect. I was looking for something like this but couldn’t get any of my search descriptions to display them. That’s a lot cheaper than the seat grommets I was looking at. 
My only concern is how the straps come over her shoulders first. I’ll have to do some trial fitting with my little helper tomorrow after work.

Has anyone fitted their own harness grommets to their seats. 
ive just fitted some Westfield seats to my Exmo but as the harness now passes around the sides of the seat, my co-pilot (8) isn’t as well secured as the harness now slips off of her shoulders. 
I’ve seen some online but it means cutting into the seat. Does anyone have any pictures or experience doing this modification?

I used folded ally sheet to form the top and spray glued a thin yoga mat and diamond effect leatherette to create mine. 

I think I’ve sorted it now. Just had to wake up the grey matter a bit. 

Yeah I thought 8.8 would be ok but as my car is pre SVA I just wanted to update things as I go along. Including the load spreader.

I don’t suppose you have any wiring diagrams of the switches do you. 
I’ve tried wiring it up but keep blowing fuses. Im not sure where I’m going wrong.

Hi folks,
I’m in the process of fitting some newer seats to the Exmo. I’ll be reinforcing the underside of the floor with some angle iron. My question is which tensile strength volt would be best? 8.8, 10.9 or 12.9. 
Or does it not matter.

Yeah I bench tested it to a degree. I didn’t have a vice or work bench so was doing it whilst pinning it down with my foot. I couldn’t be sure as to the rpm or efficiency so I just bit the bullet and bought a new one for about £40 off of eBay. It fixed the problem.

Hi all, 

I want to improve my dash /console with some rocker switches and remove some of the stalk function at the wheel. I have a few CBS rocker switches (hazard,fog, lights and fan) but they don’t seem to sell the rear connector, only the female bullet terminals. 
I'd rather not resort to loads of individual cables laying around and would sooner have proper connectors. 
What has everyone else done to get around this issue ? 
I need to sort this before I can mot the car.

I had a similar problem a few years ago. I renewed all of the earths, cranked the engine without the plugs, boosted the battery but it was only when I fitted a new starter motor that she fired up without labouring. 

The lolocost was also a square chassis. The chassis on this car is nothing that I recognise. The tunnel is very narrow too. 

I’ve got 2 Cobra roadster 7 seats for sale. 
gray with red trim, slightly worn on the lateral support and they could probably do with some new foam. 
They’re still very supportive and will fit the monocoque chassis and older cars. 
Ideal if you’re after some cheap seats to get your project rolling. 
Come with runners.

My brackets are just in front of the engine mounts, but as Duck said some manipulation may be required. 

If you have access to a sewing machine then you could probably manufacture one yourself. If you search Surrey Top in the search facility you should find plenty of info. 

I would think that as the Westfield is slimmer in design so the width and length dimensions would be totally different. 
You could contact GBS to see if they have any hoods / doors. 
Alternatively look at a Surrey top as it’d be cheaper. 

I’d say that checking the fuses are the first thing to do. I don’t know if you have a dedicated kitcar loom or if you’re using the old Sierra loom but if you have a blown fuse it should be easy to identify visually. 
Just make sure you have the correct rating fuse if it needs replacing.

It’d be a shame to end this thread, besides I’m interested to see what you’ve got planned.

I use a Hamilton cover with a Halfords cover over that. I’ve never had a mold problem. If you use a mild detergent will it clean off ?
