From the people who brought you NoDiz this is the generic version of the plug and play ECU which is the MX5 superchargers favourite.

I have spent some time on the RAC rote planner this afternoon with the weather function turned on and it seems that a patch of bright sunshine will follow us wherever we go

Take a shovel boys, snow is forecast. But have fun anyway.
The heavy rain that is forecast after the snow will wash it all away

All being well the The East Mids Posse or TEMP's should hit The Rooster between 12:30 and 1pm

You could try putting some lamps (see Bob I can learn) in the original side repeater holders which are taped up inside near to the badges covering the side repeater holes. That should give you some more resistance for the relay.

When I did mine I kept grinding on glass so I left out the screws and relied upon sikaflex only. It held the roof for a good 3 hours of use in the year it was fitted before I sold the car on.

I had the chance of a job on a lathe when I left school.....but I turned it down (boom boom)
30 people turned up for the interview and there were no chairs! I quickly got fed up with the milling around

Can anyone think of a good meeting point near Penrith with good coffee food and petrol but mainly good coffee?
-
Looks like a 2 hour 110 mile run from Ferrybridge to Penrith so (2 fuel stops for Terry) so If we aim to leave Ferry Bridge at 10:30 we should be there in time for lunch.
Stafford is 2 hour 44 mins 150 miles from Penrith so if that group leaves 9:30 to 10:00 we have a 1:00pm meet for lunch leave by 2:00pm .
Then a 2 hour 20 min 133 mile run to the hotel sees us there at about 4:30?
Can you have the saltires out by then Whiz?
Do these timings sound ok
Long day for Phil

Who's heading up from east mids area and what's the plan?
I think this is the plan
Dan and Simon will be meeting up on the M1 somewhere after Jct 28 and going via M18 to A1 then to Ferrybridge.
I will go straight up the A1 to Ferrybridge keeping an eye out after M18 junction for the others .
At Ferrybridge we will meet up with Terry.
We will then all travel as a convoy to Penrith via A1 and A66 where if we can time it right we can meet up with the Convoy from Stafford.
Phil take your pick of M1 to meet Dan and Si or A1 and meet me.

At the risk of more contreversy, recently seen on here, a correction to the above, drum brakes on the rear of a zero are higher efficiency than discs, but within limits provided you use standard brakes, bias and or brake limiters, are very much frowned on at IVA, you can get them through by locking them, but as standard brakes meet balance for road use, it's just more complication you don't need.
I did not know that and stand corrected. Thanks KT

I tried allsorts when building mine even string soaked in epoxy and wrapped round the tube, punching a series of dots around the inside of the pipe ( I had a lot of aluminium tube from a tv aerial mast) .
Nothing really worked well except bicycle inner tube between the pipe and hose and clamped with the threaded bar type hose clamp.
In the end after chasing leaks for a year the method I found best in the end was to buy some of these

I never felt under braked with the drums, but lets face it discs all round is way cooler, even to the extent that I painted the drums silver so they looked like discs.
You will still need the spacers and I think the adapter plate takes the place of the last spacer.
The real problem will be sourcing the parts from a xr4x4 or cossie sierra unless you go for aftermarket (or someone kind stripping a sierra rear subframe for an LSD gives them to you (how I got them) or someone kind finds them in his bit box and gives them to you (how I parted with them)).
If budget is a consideration you will not be disappointed with the performance of the drums and it may even be easier to get the right brake balance as discs (I believe) can overbrake the rear and lead to embarrassing end swapping without a (fixed for IVA) bias valve.
so quite a shopping list for a disc braked rear.

As a lawyer building a car count yourself lucky its got a bleeding valve

I'm sorry I posted this from the police station after a 12 hour shift and was a bit grumpy.Well I very rarely drive my car fast....every now and then it does you good to have fun....we were safe and didn't involve anyone else, I won't be losing sleep over it, in fact I enjoyed it. I bet you have never broken a speed limit or a law in your life....hang on, what's that glinting in my eye, oh it's the sun catching your halo.
