  1. Cheapest way may be to use a turbocharged mx5 as your donor if you can find a rusty one. Just don't drive the donor first or you may never build the zero.

  2. Have just been looking at web-site " Pickering Traction Engine Rally" & this event is posted as being over 4 days with venue at PICKERING SHOWGROUND YO18 8EA.

The site we are booked into is "The Great Yorkshire Steam Fair" & this event is over 3 days with the venue at Allerton Park HG5 0SE

Any-one know what the score is? Is this show being pulled in 2 different directions & taking place at 2 different venues over the same week-end?

  3. To summarise from acquired knowledge on this forum the list of joints on the Ford sierra based zero front hubs are as follows.

Top Wishbone to dummy strut/wheel arch carrier = Transit drag link

Bottom ball joint - Lower wishbone to sierra hub = Astra Mark 3 lower ball joint (thanks whiz)

Extended escort steering rack to sierra hub steering arm = Sierra track rod end

    Hope this helps

  4. In my opinion it's not high enough for a breather as you will loose tank capacity only a little bit but it's a small tank. I used a bit of 8mm fuel hose and a stainless set screw and hose clips. I was told that blanking caps are available but never seen any.
