Hi thanks all for the replies. Steve. im using an OBP pedal box mate so not sure what the ratio is tbh. Any ideas? I havent braced it up as yet but im imagineing that that is a part of my problem. I feel like my feet is gonna come through the fire wall.
As per my RR results im over the moon. 1st time ive built from scratch. Im .5 over on the pistons so 86.5 iirc. Ported head and blackbird boddies on a home made manifold. Im using mega squirt ms1 extra code. I still havent had a propa go inm the car yet as the mot is up. Gotta sort out a few bits then im away. Catch up when im taxed etc. Hows yours coming along?

aghh i see now mate cheers for that so i basically just strengthen the floor? Ive adjusted all my pedal box tonight, Does you know about them at all? Not sure if ive done it right or not. Is the front master cylinder meant to be closest to the clutch? what i am finding is that the rear cylinder travels more than the front too is this right? There is a pic below of the cylinders and my setup.
what i am finding is that the rear cylinder travels more than the front too is this right? Ive got .75 front and .7 rear. with a 6.25 hydraulic clutch.
Does anyone know how the remote servos work/digram on a dual master setup?
Thought id post a few more build pics too. Ive fitted a gte 16v digi dash to my type 9 and made a better manifold for the Blackbird boddies.
Also i had some good news today. Took car in again to be mapped and setup properly. Goes to show that mega squirt and vauxhalls go well together.
Managed to make 166bhp and 371 lb ft at the wheels im as happy as a pig in doo doo. gotta say god shes quick off the mark.

Hi, i have fitted an OBP floor mounted pedal box and i seem to be getting a far whack of movement on the firewall when i press the brakes, so much so that it makes the brakes feel spongy?
Any ideas on how to stop this/ strengthen it? I have also bolted it to the floor too.

Hi, having a problem with my indicators. The loom is from a sierra.. Problem i have is that when i fit the rear n/s indicator bulb and indicate right the left indicator flashes too? If i take the rear back out the right front flashes on its own but faster as normal indicating theres a light out. If i indicate left then just the left flashes as normal.
Any ideas? Thanks for reading

Just thought id post as ive fitted v6 vauxhalls to other cars but the prinicipal would be the same. You will need.
Type 9-vaux bell housing.
Flat type 2.0xe flywheel
2.0 xe pressure plate.
xe starter (sure the v6 one was different its been a while)
clutch plate (same as one used on ford to vaux xe conversion (cant remember which one it is.)
Adapt to hydraulic clutch or stick with cable?
strip engine to bare minimals as it weighs a ton
Pedal box
Custom mounts.
Basically the same as fitting a vaux redtop to a 2b as they use the same engine pattern. Do a search for a redtop cnversion mate

]just as a little update. If you want any sort of electronic speedo you can buy one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160399328576&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_823wt_939
Now usually they go in the box but if your setup is like mine and is a nightmare (box out job) to get at the cable where it fits to the box then discovered yesterday that you can leave the origonal cable in place. What you then have to do is cut approx 15-20mm off the metal shroud where it would connect to the mechanical speedo. All you have to do the is push this onto the sensor and jubilee the two together. Works a treat.
Also if the sensor doesnt quite match the pulses of your electronic speedo then you can get a sequencer from DOM at migweb which alters the pulses to suit for you.

Just to confirm the law on this "A frame"
Only used your post mower man as it had most of the relevant infomation,
As an RAC patrol I can confirm that neither the RAC or the AA use A frames anymore, this stopped some years back as they are too dangerous and can damage the steering components, You could use this A frame for any vehicle upto the maximum unbraked towing capacity of the towing vehicle, I dont think you would get it under a 2b or even any kit car as it clamps on the bottom of the front wishbones, Also as the 2b doesnt self center that great this could be an issue as it needs to follow the towing vehicle and steer itself,
On a legal view, Any vehicle which is left with contact to the ground must be broken down otherwise an operators licence is required, The towed vehicle must also be fully road legal, Tax, insurance and mot,
As someone else said, it is a grey area but if a trafic policeman sees you and knows the law well, you could end up in court for no tax, insurance and mot because the towed vehicle is the sole resposibility of the person driving the towing vehicle,
Hence why breakdown companies will not recover vehicle without road fund licence,
I hope that clears a few things up?
Cheers
Dave
Cheers for all the replies guys. The problem is, i have to get my 2b 50 mile away. I havent got the 200notes hss want for a trailer at the mo. Would it be acceptable to tow a vehicle using a ridgid tow bar to an MOT test center then?

Has anyone had any experiance with these by anychance? Would i be able to use one with my 2b do you think?

Had my 2b in to be rolling roaded and setup today, unfortunately it looks like my injectors have packed in. Some arnt cycling properley whatever that means? They are the creme ones at present. What i need to know is what other ones could i use/source from a scrappy?
Also the ford sierra rad im using has burst unfortunately. Anyone got any idea what rad i could use in its place? Not sure on the physical size at the moment as i havent had it back. Does anyone know the size of the ford unit?
