Hi Andi
I had a diesel tino for 10 years, great alround car, take all back seats out (undo 6 clips to remove them) & its like a van
-
-
I would say you also need some sort of bracket to stop carbs moving
-
mine is -magnet on diff/prop flange & sensor fixed to tunnel side
works no probs
-
usually its the Halfords own label stuff thats cheapest, just ask them to scan the items- to check trade price before you buy
-
I just told them I was buliding a kitcar, smiled/said please alot and got trade card no problem. :)

looking good chris
what colour did you go for??

Moral: DON'T trust the DVLA to get things right
Very true-check ALL details on V5 when you get it, mine had emissions info for a diesel
-
I went & talked to local DVLA office as they would be doin build up inspection
they were happy for me to make up my own VIN number but you cant use certain numbers/letters (cant remeber what they are though)

before I do a full rolling road session I have done a compression test on the engine.(using sealey VSE300D)
haynes manual states it should be 11-13 bar
first results on hot engine with all plugs removed showed all cylinders were around 6 bar, then I remembered
that the throttle should be wide open.
2nd results were between 15 & 16 bar.
as the head has been skimmed would this account for higher than spec pressure??

results from RR Power run
Flywheel 113 BHP (standard is 125)
Wheels 91
fuelling was all over the place with rich low range- lean mid range and rich high range,
I took my laptop for the megajolt so I could maybe learn abit more about it (I am using a map from another DOHC user).
he changed a couple of values on megajolt and immediatley got 3hp more.
looks like I need a full RR session to get carbs & megajolt setup.
from searching the forums for a RR that knows bike carbs and megajolt looks like its a long trek to torque tune next to GBS
unless anybody knows any up north that fit the bill ??
PS.Very scary standing next to it when at full throttle

Ive had the zero on the road for 2 years & 3000 miles, so thought it was time to find out the HP
I was hoping to use the local RRoad (XO tuning, Cramlington) for a power run but they have just had RR removed,
but they did recommend Evotune in Durham.
spoke to evotune today and they have an open day on Sat 15 Sept. with power runs for £35.
the morning is booked up but after dinner is quiet.
I will be there at about 1pm .
anyone else interested??
Cheers Paul

Fuel related we think. But now we ave noticed that the inside of the fuel pipe has perished. It's alright when the tank is full but when the tank is below half (for some reason I don't know yet) the rubber fuel line collapses under suction. So new fuel lines will be going in. And hopfully that will solve the problem.
Hi Luke
Have you checked that the fuel tank is vented?
