  1. Some of you may know my 2b is tucked up for winter.

Whilst doing a job for a customer a few weeks ago he overheard me and my work colleague talking about garages.

He offered me one at the back of his house that he never uses.

Mine is currently stored FOC at my mates 10 miles away,so cheap but not ideal for winter mods.

So set up mate to take me there to pick it up,mate to be in when i do and other guy to have keys for his garage.

Then it looks like shocking rain all day, Remeber i have a bikini roof and no doors windows or heater.

So dunno weather to leave it there til next week or wrap up and move it .

  2. the cost of solar panels and an invertor would be silly money.

Ive just got a garage with no power,so bought a small genny .60 quid and will run drill, lights and grinder.

If you bought 2nd hand even better power for ther money.

I know you have to cost fuel into it. But for the small amount of work ill be doing this is more cost effective.

If you need lighting then id get a leisure battery and some caravan lighting ,and charge the battery at home over night.Or some gennys come with battery charge facilities too

Been looking at jjc stuff mate has it on his race car and says its good stuff. but all advice is helpful.

Ive heard its better to wrap when wet too..this true??

  5. theres nothing of a dogy nature going on between wife and other bloke.

Its been business related issues between them, he told me that much.

But im afraid i dont bow down to anyone.the joys of being my own boss. if he has problems with someone its nothing to do with me.

But he made it this way ...not me.. so time to move on. just a shame it come to this.

  6. Nothing too major i suppose.

Im a self employed carpet fiter..been working for many different shops for many years.

2 main contracts others as and when.

A few weeks back one shop found out id done a job for a guy who does interior design 4 miles from shop ,he supplies the stuff i just turn up and fit.

Guy said if i fit for interior design he doesnt want me working for him,so i ask why, he has personal issues with him.

Although his wife works for his company making curtains ..so if his wife works for him..why cant I ?

So yesterday he found out i was fitting for interior design company, not on a day i work for him i may add,and calls me with an ultimatum.

Him or me....so i argued my case that i can work for whoever i want..he says yes,but if you work for him you will have no work for me.

Now i dont do ultimatums well..and felt backed into a corner and bullied ,so i made the decision not to bow to his rules and walked out on a 8yr contract.

Shame in my eyes...but why should his personal feelings get in the way of my work.

So things maybe a little tight till i get into some more contracts to fill those days.

So heres to a new and brighter future...
