  1. Thanks for your advice, I've put the battery on charge(it's always had the green light on though), I'll move onto other things today and make positive progress. I'll tidy up the engine loom and tie it neatly etc.
  2. Looks like I'm not the only one that's had these problems. It's just been the cherry on the cake with the week. I've had leaking brake lines, wrong cables coming for the omex, throttle cable nightmares, engine that's dropped to low, with a sump that wouldn't clear a cats eye! wrong plug for water temp sensor (kit and sensor on it's way from omex) etc etc etc.
  3. I only said as I thought I'd seen a few posts about the raceline one leaking and maybe others too.
  4. It started just clicking towards the end if the day after the battery was prob worn.
  5. Just to be sure here also, I have the + from the battery going onto the big terminal on the starter then there's a copper coloured one called sta that has a braided wired to the starter it's self that has nothing then a third terminal that I connect my yellow and blue wire to.
  6. Ok, will give that a try tomorrow, I'm charging the battery tonight to be sure on that front to.
  7. I That's what I thought but I can't see anything anywhere! Was one of my first thoughts as the starter would half turn the engine then stop almost as if the relay was stopping it.
  8. They were connected to the pinto starter, one had a female spade connector the other a female round connector, I no longer have the starter from the pinto so can't work out what's what. Looking under the dash at the push button start there is a yellow and blue wire but no sign of the black and green one that I don't have a home for at present. they were both labeled as solenoid in the engine bay. I have tried the whole connecting up the undone starter to a battery with a jump lead but for some reason only have one jump lead so can't earth it. It did nothing. On the bright side I bleed in the front brakes after big leaks in the week, no t piece for brake light sensor now though so no brake light!
  9. I have since 9 am this morning, it's going to have me in tears at this rate, I've had an awful week with the whole set up!
  10. I have an earth from bellhousing to neg joining one to the chassis. I also have a black wire with a green strip on the same line as a yellow wire with a blue strip. Where should the black and green wire go?
  11. Starter bolted on a and wired correctly as far as I can tell. It engages and turns the engine a very very tiny bit but won't be anywhere near enough to spring the car into life. Not got an electrical tester on it but even with the help of jump leads from another car it hardly turns atall. Any advice?
  12. Anyone have any photos of the above? I've set mine up today and had to join the cable which is annoying enough but at present the cable would pass through the foam filter.
  13. Don't they tend to leak? I think I'm just looking to have the tin bit shortened,
  14. Wanted or anyone that can do this for me? Thanks in advance.
  15. Guess Velcro is the best bet I case I need to send it off or something. Even as a security feature for long periods of time, no ECU no drive off and steal!
  16. Was thinking Velcro, I'm going to double check I've not been blind!
  17. Hi, how have others fitted an omex ECU? I mean held it in place. Unless I'm being blind it has no fitting points, there doesn't appear to be a bracket on the market either.. Thanks
  18. Dam pedal box's! Hardest thing of my conversion to date!
  19. Keep it up! Got my pedal box sorted atleast! Just a case of bolting everything on now! Will have it running by this time next week.
