perhaps swap the pinto for a Zetec-S/SE engine? big power potential, and weigh less than 90 kg (mine does anyway..)

 

and is smaller than the Duratec.! and of course an alloy zetecSE-type9 bellhousing from Shawspeed will save another few kgs!

Welcome back, I thought all that groaning was you struggling in the garage but now I can see what you were upto.

 

DRC let us have your email add and ill send them to you. If I can get Scot to leave the love of his life alone for a few mins I'll send them to him and he can put them on this site. I'd ditch the 1.6 for starters, go straight for the 2.0.

 

Ive taken a razor to the carpet to safe a couple more ounces.

Well done on the mot

Just back from RH with some bits for mine, and looking at the fuel tanks they need some filler necks fitted as they are just tanks with two holes in them!!

Please could you let me know how you fitted yours or did you use a different tank?

Had RH make a custom tank for me, it sits on the diff box sections and runs across the whole back end and has a 2" pipe welded into the middle so i could attach the filler.

 

I thought this was alot better than there 2 small tank arrangement.

Here is a pic of the lightweight that robin hood sold on ebay i think this was the steel version it did not come with a SVA and i think it sold for around £3000
