It was good to see lots of people coming to the Chelveston meeting today, there must have been about 15 cars altogether. 2 people had quite eventful journeys, won't say too much, yes Alan was there in the MNR it was dry tho'. and no. 51 seems to have changed a bit from when it used to be white with a Rolling Stones logo on it

Peter - thanks for the welcome - it was good to have somewhere to head to after having got "51" through the MOT after 9 months in rebuild following the off. I'm pleased to note that there is an even bigger Rolling Stones logo on the bonnet now !

The first journey out included a number of "learns" : Don't use over size cable locks on clutch cable - it'll fail at the busiest roundabout in Northampton and you'll have to rely upon trusted friend Peter Ray to pull you to a lay-by and B&Q for the bits to fix it. Also - over filling the tank leads to petrol leaks - tyres rub on wheel arches and re-routing heater pipes through the footwell was a bad idea ! Also - the tracking needs setting - the "bump steer" was a bit strong.

Great trip though and big it up thanks to Peter Ray for his assist.

Minty.
