Just had the following email

Club Call

I would like to invite you and your members to play a key role in celebrating the Silver Anniversary of the Cheshire Kit and Classic Car Show in style.

You may be aware that the organisational demands of the show have now outgrown the capabilities of an enthusiast club, and that in 2008 this long established event will be considerably expanded with many new features and for the first time will be professionally organised.

We are extremely lucky that the stunning Capesthorne Hall location is allowing the show to be developed without losing any of the character that has been so loved by club members over the years. As well as the traditional owner-car displays, among the new features will be facilities for clubs to have their own dedicated display areas and membership display booths, an inter-club contest, and facilities for clubs to host 'members only' meetings or AGM's. The traditional 'drive around the arena' will be themed by marque or historical slot during which there will even be live 'Heartbeat' style period style music and a mid-afternoon BBQ. We are also extending the concessionary entry discounts to club members arriving as passengers or not displaying their cars and a club member discount for the BBQ.

As well as being involved with these activities we would like to invite your club to celebrate the 25th anniversary by putting on a themed static display – both to add to the flavour of the event and attract new potential members to your club.

There are many more new features at the show to interest your members than I could describe in this message and more information can be located at www.CheshireKitandClassicShow.co.uk

Because the available locations for some of the new features are restricted they must be planned well in advance (as must the club discounts), so for logistical reasons most of the main club features, concessions, discounts and other club support must be restricted to registered clubs. Registering is quick and easy via a simple on-line form. I urge you to visit the web site and register straight away because where space is limited or there is pressure on the concessions we will work on a 'first come' basis.

Access the form now by visiting the web site and selecting TAKING PART from the main menu. The Club Registration form can then be accessed from the WEB FORMS tab in the sub menu at the top of the screen.

If you have any questions about the show or any suggestions with respect to something you or your members would like to do, there is an enquiry form in the CONTACT section.

Looking forward to your kind reply and working with your club towards a brilliant 25th Anniversary Show.

Regards

Hi all,

Anyone planning on going to this? Or have any info on times, prices etc???

The Capesthorne Hall website seems to indicate that the event is this coming Sunday (11th May).

I've just looked at the website ( http://www.cheshirekitandclassicshow.co.uk/ ), but it states its 'Currently offline pending late breaking amendments'! Whatever that means.

Phill.
