Very scary now I am so close, tow bar to be fitted to the Galaxy and hire, borrow, buy a trailer, take it to work for a shakedown on the runway.

My cousin is a lorry fitter and has access to VOSA calibrated rollers so may be able to get the brake balance and axle weights sorted.

Well done mate. :D I've just heard the weather forecast, it's going to rain everyday from now on ;)

Good luck with the SVA

What ever happened to All this talk of Global Warming , Has Gordon Brown /Darling put a stop to that too !! As not taxable enough therefore not a good thing .

In your pics it looks like you have the older roll over bar. Is this okay for sva? i hope i'm wrong but i thought it had to be of thicker diameter.

I'd also heard that Baz but the only reference to it I can find in the SVA manual is in the seat belt anchorage section which I don’t think is applicable unless the tester thinks that the roll over bar
will provide strength and spread the loads effectively into the chassis.

Note: For guidance roll cages should ideally be

manufactured of CDS steel tube dia 45mm x

2.5mm wall thickness OR dia 50mm x 2.0mm

wall thickness. Bend radii should exceed 3 times

the tube diameter. Where tubes are ovalised

during bending, the ratio d/D should not be less

than 0.9 (d=small diameter, D=larger diameter).
