if it smells of pear drops that's the stuff (acitone) a very good de-greaser

Try a new, and very sharp stanley knife. Of a steady hand is useful also.

solvant cleaner for upvc thats the pear drop stuff any upvc suoolier . but of course gloves would have been the way to go

Naw, this sounds like a time for the scalpel.... or Angle grinder as other people call it.

 

If you want to be a bit soft, you could try an orbital sander

If you catch it before it sets it says peanut oil should be used, just read a can in the garage.

Think it may have set by now though

foam can be removed using cleaner which sold at most builders merchants used to clear gun sold that fastens to foam cannister. Make sure no cuts mega smarts!
