That's pretty significant. If you keep up on the westie forums you do hear about various chassis problems. One about a year ago was the diff cage suffering stress fractures which Westfield didn't initially want to know about and after they did the thread disappeared. They don't like to leave up problem threads but then who does.

Careful chassis survey needed to check for any other stress fractures. Your install is testing the chassis to a point where it has suffered a failure. Check to make sure it is only one failure.
