Halfords Oil Deal

Hi Jumbo

As far as I know 15W40 is a slightly thinner oil, I've used it In Pintos for years now as I found 20W50 has become rare and the stuff that's available seems to be low quality, take Halfords Classic 20W50 recommends changing every 3K? The benefits of using a thinner oil would be it's quicker to get around the engine at start up and is easier to pump around so saps less power. The down side could be less wear protection from a thinner oil but I think part synthetic oils give better protection than mineral so should be much the same.

I'm not an expert so I expect to be politely corrected if I'm wrong. ;-)
