Help Needed No Spark

finally got correct starter motor so is now turning over,but getting no spark.

am confused over wiring as my dizzy seems to have different color wires then wiring diagram in haynes manual.

so if anyone local who is a dab hand with wiring can come shed some light on it before i burn the thing lol.

its a 2b with a pinto 2l efi 1987 with a premier loom

Hi Dave, busy at the moment but if you've not got it sorted in a few weeks I'll come and have a look. I'm not that great with electrics but I managed to get mine working.

get some 12volt LEDs in, they're useful for testing dizzy wiring. I should be able to spare a little time sat morning.

is there anyway to test my dizzy hall effect system?

sure i read somewhere i can put a test light on connectors and see if it flash as dizzy turns?

Can anyone tell me how hall sensor dizzy should be wired mine got black/red black brown wires also had a brown white in same part of loom

Got a motorcraft tfi with brown green black red/black blue/red blue/yellow wires

Brown is earth

Green to -side of coil and tacho?

Black to 12v positive

Black/red to hall dizzy

Blue/red to ecu?

Blue/yellow to black on hall dizzy

Got power to +coil and hall dizzy and tfi black wire

=NO SPARK lol

http://www.rhocar.org/index.php?showtopic=36924. I have had several electronic pinto dizzys fail i use an led test probe from mac tools to test. This might be your best option about £80 I think. I.ve fitted a couple for people they are very easy to fit and work great.

Looking at the photos there may be two issues.

I don't think the red cap connection is for dizzy.

Is the brown wire connected to the green at the suppressor, this would be wrong.
