April 8, 201412 yr A 2.0 pinto will cost you £200+ in unknown condition or has been sat for a while in or out of a car (ebay prices). No idea on axle but would guess £150-200 as a benchmark.
April 8, 201412 yr Really depends on which model Capri you are wanting an axle from, cross flow, early Pinto axles, as Alfa says. Start looking for a 3 litre one and you will be paying sky high prices as they are sought after by the rally boys to stock pile.
April 8, 201412 yr I take it the 3A isn't on leaf springs at the back so the spring perches need to be cut off anyway and different brackets welded on? If this is the case, wouldn't a Cortina axle be easier to source?
April 8, 201412 yr No the 3a is up for sale,it's all Sierra donor bits,I don't know weather to split or sell complete,I've just bought a locost on Saturday so all the other bits in the garage are surplus
April 8, 201412 yr Split and bang it on ebay/gumtree, it will go for strong money. Owners forums like here want a known good engine for their toys and want back on the road ASAP and thus bargain harder and pay less for unknown, ebay et al is weird-they will pay top money for an unknown then moan that its crap so word it right......
April 8, 201412 yr Thanks but I would have the heart to sell c**p to someone I like to think I'm one of the good ones lol
