There is much to consider not least that the exhaust is on the other side to the Pinto

The Zetec is a good engine and can give good power.

Their are many who have fitted the Zetec and I defer to their better knowledge

+1 for a Zetec over a Pinto

I assume it's a black top engine.

If you're on a budget, you can run using the throttle body injectors and fuel regulator that are already on the engine.

Add the ECU, engine loom, master key and ignition barrel, and you can save yourself quite a bit of money. You can always upgrade these bits as and when.

You'll still need the GBS plenum though.

Other items have been covered above.

Apparently you might also be able to match a Mazda MX5 inlet manifold to a zetec head

manifold

That is what is called "thinking out side the box"

What a great find , and when you think about it he was right!!!!!

Will be a Blacktop but if anyones doing a Silvertop conversion, remember the crank sensor fits inside the bloody housing and doesn't bolt on the outside like the Blacktop.

Engine out job twice as I forgot first time and had to replace a faulty one the second.

Facepalm, facepalm and a harder facepalm!!
