It will fail IVA as they do side to side individual brake tests followed by axle test.

Obviously you have never driven a welded diff on dry tarmac, even worse in wet!!!! :80: :80: :o :o or bought tyres as you will wear them out very very quickly.

Can I ask why you have fitted a welded diff ??

I used to run welded diffs in my bangers & hot rods.

Obviously we ran on shale & they were great for kicking the rear end out

on a loose surface.....but I tried one on a tarmac surface....just once...never again.

LETHAL.

Thanks guys! Glad I asked! What I have at the moment is a lexus is300 engine and rear diff, but it isn't an LSD, so will a sierra diff work and hold the power? Or does anyone else know of a suitable LSD? Many thanks joe

The Sierra diffs are pretty strong, & theres an LSD version fitted to the 4x4 & Cosworths.

Most common ratio is 3.6, there was a 3.38 (IIRC) but theyre like hens teeth.

What ratio is the Lexus? I suspect it will be pretty low .

IIRC you fitted the whole Lexus rear end?

You may be better to source a standard Lexus diff.

You'll be a pathfinder fitting a Sierra diff in a Lexus frame
