Superspec Nose

Is the nose for the superspec the same as the 2B

I don't think so. I think it is wider - the SuperSpec and the 2B have very different bonnets.

to my knowledge it is the same so theres 2 different answers for you

 

There was an early shorter 2b nose which definitely isn't the same. The bonnet is different in that it is a singe piece which lips over the scuttle whereas the 2b had a 2 piece bonnet but they should be the same width as they use the same chassis. Doubt RH would have made a different nose cone they would have just got users to nail it on with 6 inch nails so it roughly fit.

Normally I would offer to measure mine, but on extended vacation away from the car at the moment. But there must be another Superspec owner reading this who can do it for you ?

its not urgent as it wont be being ran or looked at for a couple of weeks so can be when you guys can

Sorry for the delay in replying, our laptop died and we are just getting to grips with the new one!!

 

Anyway, the dimensions (sorry haven't got a pic) are:

Max inside width on top (fits over the lugs welded to the chassis) 670mm

Height from base to top of nose 430mm

Width at front of nose 480mm
