Heres a diagram of the various connectors. You have a type 4 I believe.

Hi.

If you still decide to use the small alternator the connection is a type 4.

The plug to fit is available from Simtec Motorsport electrical Part No Con 354 comes with pins and seals.

Hope that helps as if used it reduces the chance of failure if you use a home made plug and silicone.

managed to find a pulley for the pinto alt so no rewire required phewwww!!!!!

Slightly off topic but could you post some pics of the alternator bracket I'm currently looking at ways to mount my denso one to the pinto. Cheers Mike.

if you look at the pictures with the denso alt you can just make out that its flat bar bent to fit must have taken

a

bit of time to get right it was already fitted to the pinto courtesy of ozz for the pinto alt which is bigger and heavier I have had to make another bracket to hold it at the back
