Don't Laugh - Skoda Estelle Gauges

I know it sounds bad but I have a set of Skoda Estelle gauges that I'm starting to install in my 3A (before you all laugh check out the pic of what they look like & they include an 8000 rpm rev counter which will suit my engine). They're actually a nice little set of gauges all individual that can be removed from the original pod so can be mounted where they look best. The issue I have is finding out info on the speedo drive ratio as I don't want to go to all the effort of fitting to find out the speed is miles out. For reference I'm running a type 9 gearbox. I guess I could use an electronic pick up for wheel speed& adjust to suit. Any help would be much appreciated.

Personally I think they are spot on as a set of "traditional" gauges.

 

Might be worth giving these guys a ring regarding the calibration of your speedo, they specialize in British but do work on others. I have used them and the speedo at SVA was 100% accurate

I have a hall effect pick up you can tune it to match your speedo

Was the temperature gauge really mounted upside down originally - or did you do that to see if anyone spotted it ?

The heated screen is not a problem, I'm more concerned as to what to connect the diff lock light to!
