wow cured the coil pack problems so been out and gave it a bit of stick this afternoon and its a screamer the engine really performs at the higher revs well chuffed with it

I would just like to add that during this test session all speed limits were observed and no animals were stressed apart from the one under the bonnet

What was the actual problem with the coil packs.

don't know wot the problem was its got a new coil pack on it and I changed the spark leads maybe I was just unlucky with the two used packs

Probably.

Electrickery bit do tend to fail after being left and then re-used.

Like me, failing with old age.

and the 1.8 clutch and flywheel seem to cope ok with the torque
