Your favourite car + B&B or hotel, the only weight limit is then what Fliss can pack in the boot.

Never did understand this type of debate. Buying something you are going to drive 52 weeks of the year based on the spec of what you want it to do for two weeks of the year. Hire some tank when you need to tow. Drive something you enjoy for the other 50 weeks.

Hiring anything with a towbar is expensive (£100 a day) and most caravanners do much more than 2 weeks a year. My current tank is the best car I've ever owned;comfy and reliable. For excitement, I've got a motorbike and (hopefully soon) a kit car.

I do nearly as many miles with a caravan as without thinking might keep outlander till I am sure what to buy
