Can anyone suggest good mechanical books for the novice please, I plan to buy an old pinto engine and strip and rebuild rather than mess with mine

I agree with Alan and Richard, if you are stuck ask on this forum and members will come around and help for tea and biscuits!

As ever 1st is Haynes Sierra manual gives you a reasonable base , how to's ,torque figs etc . Numerous others from basics to advanced , as above if its been done its on here some where or an old fogie will jump in :crazy: mick
