2.0 16v Blacktop

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Please bare with me, I am new to the kit car world and recently purchased a GBS zero 2.0 16v black top.

I am looking to give it a good service so I know what has been done on it. I have done some searching online and can’t really find anything firm.

Does anyone happen to know any of the part numbers for the below?

Oil Filter

Spark Plugs

Gearbox oil Mt75 box

diff oil

Anyone happen to also know anywhere cheaper than GBS for the clutch and accelerator cable at all?

anything else you would look at doing brakes etc are all fine suspension fine just passed an Mot.

Can't help on the rest but I do have the MT75 gearbox.   It is actually designed to last the life of the box and should not need changing.  But if you need to top it up it uses a special oil.  Just do a Google search for "MT75 Gearbox OIl".   Lots available.

I have a suggestion. Find the engine code of youre blacktop and then search again for info using the code. You might even find some information by searching the magnificent archives of this site. For example, your next question is "Where do I find the engine code?" and guess what, we already have a thread here about this:-

https://www.rhocar.org/index.php?/forums/topic/32675-zetec-blacktop-engine-number/

Then you might pick up info on the web such as:-

https://www.carrepairdata.com/service/repair/manual/eng/ford/focus/2_0-16v-zetec-e/1998-2004/eddb__eddc__eddd__eddf/1988/96/

I don't know, but perhaps some spare part sites specify applicability by engine code.  Hope this helps.
