Does anyone have any idea what size jets I should be using in my 38 DGAS.

This in a 2ltr Pinto with a Piper 285 Cam' ??

Mains? Airs? Idle? Pump?

John, I have 140 mains, 50 idles with the screws almost right in and not sure about the air possibly 185. I have a 285 and flowed head. These settings are about the best I can get fiddling about but a rolling road would be best.

Hiya John,

I run a 2.0, FR32 cam & big inlet valve head.

I had a DGAS set up on a rolling road & the final sizes were...

2B settings 2.3 V6 settings 3.0 GT Capri

Main 155 135 145

Air corrector 185 185 185

Emulsion tube f50 f50 f50

pump jet 70 55 70

needle valve 2.5 ?? 2.5

idle jet 45 50 45

For lower states of tune, I'd come down on the main jet say 142 or 145

These may not be perfect, but they'll get you up & running.

Hi Guy,

finding a DGAS/DGMS is not that simple.

I think they came off 3 litre capris and granadas and it will tke some time to find one. That being said you may find one in the first scrap yard you try.

They are available new.

Southern Carbs and injection would get you one. 0208 540 2723

If you are oop north you could try Bert Houldings. 01772 254971 but houldings will order from Southern Carbs anyway

Hi,

New ones are bloody expensive, I got a quote from carbs Uk and they wanted £285 plus vat, I managed to get a Pierburg version from a 3.0l capri off ebay for 35 Squidlies, Don't know if it works or owt as I'm going with standard 2.0l for SVA to keep the noise down. Theory being more fuel in, more energy dispersion and more noise.

My tuppenth worth.

Paul
