Anyone know fo a simple way to convert dvd to avi/divx

I think FlaskMPEG can do it, although you may need to use something like Smart Ripper before re-encoding it.

 

There is also www.doom9.org which has loads of instructions and links to software.

Well I ripped it using ULead Studio 10 that I'm trying and converted it to WMV, currently uploading it (110mb 30 mins). Probbaly not the best compression, but very watchable. Details soon...
