Any chance of some pics ??

See I took mine off but now after reading this I'm not sure if I should put it back on ??
After reading the burton article it seems that it has an PCV valve fitted which if I fit a tube to it and aim it at the floor will remain closed anyway and do nothing as it won't have the engines vac behind it to pull it open ?? Or am I missing something ??

Don't use the ford sump you'll get oil starvation !! The engine won't last one spirited drive !
The ford sump is designed for horizontal fitting and is baffled for such.
You can get away with using the cvh sump but if your going to the trouble of fitting a zetec budget for a proper sump !

Hi is there a list anywhere of what shops we as members get discounts at ??

Hi any starter motor /alt recon shop sells ribbed pulleys to fit ACR type alternators
There like £3
Just make sure your alt has 17mm shaft not 15mm as you'll need to make up a sleeve to convert !!

I have set all the pedals at straight up (12 o clock) and the travel on clutch is perfect aas it stops on the pedal box and throttle travel is spot on full throttle on the ford butterfly
I also fitted a bias adjuster on the dash to help set the bias
All in all these boxes are easy to fit .

I have one of these pedal boxes
I used the GBS left hand drive clutch cable
And the left hand drive throttle cable , drilled a small hole through pedal put solder less nipple on end job done
All connected up to my 2.0 zetec.
My only complaint is pedal box is quite flimsy . It could do with being made about two mill thicker material

I have a complete set of brand new (fitted for 3/4months) twin 45weber carbs for 2.0 black top
These were personally jetted by Alan Collins on webers own rolling road (20+yrs webcons senior technician )
They are complete with manifold ,sausage filter, fuel pump , filter regulator , linkage ect
You will need to buy nothing else !
The engine was doing 173bhp and on sensible driving around 25/28 mpg
I then had a major change and got Alan to do me a bespoke full management system inc fuel inj
So I no longer need these
Open to sensible offers but would like around £700

Hi I have a sierra based s7 so any s7 owners or anyone else out there who can tell me if the front Vallance if I'm calling it right (the panel the windscreen sits on ) just unbolts from the three bolts each side where your knees are and then lifts off or is there more to it

Hi I have a sierra based s7 and want to fit some adj track control arms but does any one know if escort ones will fit straight on or do I need to buy sierra ones

I use the cube one on my 2.0 black top and it's fine but I bought the original facet one . Beware of the cheap Chinese copy's
I use the webcon (weber) combined fuel pump /swirl pot . Less plumbing etc
-
Hi I don't think it will make a difference as my s7 came with a 1.6 pinto when I got it but let me know if you need any more info or if some pics would help

Hi it sounds like your fan belt is slipping.
So at low engine speeds the water pump can keep up but at higher revs the belt slips on water pump
-
just a thought but ive just converted by black top zetec to injection and I used the webcon combined swirl pot/fuel pump its the same size as a normal swirl pot and has a high pressure pump fitted and a fuel level trip switch to cut the pump if the fuel level drops due to lift pump failer etc

Hi car builder solutions does a fuel sender gauge mis-matcher you can adjust the ohms to get a near perfect match

Hi I have a s7 mono and at motorway speeds 70+ it's just damn scary.
It's like the car wants to float And it will drift !!!
On a B road blast it can hold its own but on a high speed run well !!!!
Went out in it last night just to give it a run out and ended coming home in the wind and rain and found I was on the motorway sh*ting myself doing 35/40 mph with the car feeling like its aqua planning and drifting
I have been all over the car and nothing is loose or broken ' Suspension settings are shimmed rear hubs so camber and toe corrected , front 0.5 deg camber and 1.5 degree toe.
