    ...tried to add some details re bolt strengths etc but can't get it to format correctly 12.9 bolts are about 25% better in tensile strength than the 8.8's ho hum

  11. Well done :D I find a not so wee dram helps with the thawing out process ( and if it doesn't you don't care anyway ) Are there enough Scottish ones now to organise a wee run out?

If I was doing it all again I'd go for... 1 - get SVA 1st without screen ( so no heater, wipers, windscreen scooshers required ) 2 - fit easily removable screen with some sort of quick fit catches ( dzus? ) 3 - Add fittings for a 'surrey' soft top 4 - don't bother with a heater 5 - probably wouldn't bother with wipers - only fitted mine for MOT, drove it for a year before that and with a good polish with rain repellent stuff it was better than with the wipers! 6 - think a stereo would be a waste - you won't hear it

  14. A tipex dot to at 30, 40, 70 worked for me
  15. Very probably One side of the ignition light goes to switched 12V and the other to the wire from the alternator hence when both are at 12V the light goes out. Needs this for the alternator to give any output
  16. Might not be the cure - but helps you care a lot less............ :D

    a foot is about 1/3 metre - do maplins sell it by the yard ?
  18. Good excuse for another wee run - I'll PM you nearer the time I'm asking around re the trailer ( mind you it is the same folks that let me down for my SVA - they forgot to leave the compound unlocked so I could remove it! ) so I just drove it....

    I think all EFi's can run on unleaded My rev limiter cuts in about 6200by which time it is time to change gear anyway ( just doesn't rev past it )
