  1. Hi Nelmo, the powder coaters have now got the bonnet in Matt and if it had not been damaged it would be a fantastic job, I am going to try and get it straightened today at an engineers I know who have a press, worst case I think I’m going to have a hood scoop made to suit the full top covering the damage once most of the dent it removed. I will pop some pictures on later. It is better to have powder rather than paint but sadly the parts need blasting first to remove all the crap. The sad thing is the company I have used do a bloody great job, it’s just one of those things when damage occurs, makes it worse when the young lad who did it won’t take responsibility.
  2. Hi All, I am reaching out on a limb here as probably the only part that nobody has knocking around spare but I need to ask. Does anyone have or know where I can get a Bonnet for a MK3A even if it’s a fibreglass version Basically the powder coating company near me has allowed an apprentice to prep my bonnet and he has managed to bend it. I am devastated given I have spent hours sorting build issues from the original builder, fitting upgrades, bodywork fabrication etc the list goes on. I literally dropped the bonnet last week and got the call today. The gutting thing is that I was hoping to have it ready for Malvern…. Many thanks in advance Paul
  3. Hi Jez, thank you for the advice, love the orange man
  4. Thanks Phil, appreciate the pic
  5. Hi, I have pondered this same issue. Has anyone got pics of a fix or aesthetic solution that works ?
  6. Hi all, after a very wet and still wet few months I am back on the RH, I was hoping to have her ready for Kit Fest but that’s not going to be a possibility. I am looking to start the brake system and pedal assembly replacement today, any tips would be appreciated, I have chosen the CompBrake pedal box with Brake Bias adjustment , rather than strip out all the brake lines first I have decided to run the new lines first fit connectors and dry fit, with the cylinders connected directly to the pedal box assembly I feel it’s better and safer to install complete new lines. Any opinions are welcome as the CompBrake install instructions consist of basically the receipt lol. Has anyone ever replaced the Sierra setup for a similar system? Thanks in advance Paul
  7. Thanks guys, Yep wow easy to spend on that site eh lol. I’ll post when I have picked the solution to the heater. The matrix is fantastic tbh too bloody hot so I’ll be going down the route of changing the control I think.
  8. Hi, does anyone know an alternative to the Sierra heater system. I want to freshen up the dash and have a dial style control switch rather than the sliding type. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  9. Hi, @Shandylegs thanks for the reply, I am just looking for help on what cables if any need to be extended or run in a different place? Does your pedal box have an adjustable mount plate to allow distance alterations? Do you have any helpful pics? I am expecting delivery tomorrow and today I have collected all my powder coated parts ready for reassembly so this weekend I’ll be wrapping the chrome, mocking up a new dash and starting to build the dash ready for trimming, any helpful advice is appreciated, and just think, all this started because I found wires that were soldered amazingly but none insulated, Thanks in advance Paul
  10. Hi gents, thank you for the replies, it’s what I feared tbh. I am thinking I will look at modifying the tunnel and because of the structure aspects I will have additional strengthening added, I put both descriptions into the thread incase like mentioned it is a similar issue to both models, measuring it the offset is around 30mm the required mod only needs 20mm at the top to allow for the seat sides, the base of the seats has more than enough room, so in thinking a diagonal cut and replace the tunnel too that is currently tacked in place with a bespoke seam welded tunnel top will solve the structural worries. You know that feeling when you think that’s a good idea then you start and realise, umm a few additional hours may be required lol. Mine is the mk3a, has either of you or know anyone who has fitted a floor mounted pedal box? Ta Paul
  11. Hi everyone, Please could anyone help with advise on modifying the tunnel to make room for larger style bucket seats I have seen loads of pics online where the tunnels are all kinds of shapes and also some with no handbrake visible but I am not sure if the tunnel too and sides are structural. can anyone help with tips pics or links it would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance Paul
  12. Hi Neill, did you manage to solve this yet? I am looking for something similar I think.

    Exhaust Wrap

Cracking advice thank you, I spent loads of time yesterday preparing the tub and engine bay ready to start adding the shielding and I opened a can of worms really, wiring that can only be described as 'Fire Risk' so I ended up pretty much rewiring the car. 'Scotch Locks Should be banned from sale' I could not understand why for an extra 10 mins simply solder, heat shrink and secure, So that was my day got taken up with. So today I moving to the lighting circuit, fingers crossed I will then be able to apply the heat shielding lol. Have a cracking day all
  14. Could anyone recommend where I can get the bikini style roof please or someone who can make one please.
