  1. The biggest problem these days is the fact that even more people are getting computers in the home and so most evenings when nothing good on the telly the computer gets a bashing and the SP's get swamped , it was never like this when i first went on line in the early nineties mind you computers where not as fast back then damn slow in fact .

  2. Nice job done eh , you are certainly in the right place for bike rideing so ride safe and watch out for those plonkers in cars :D

Everyone should have a bike to ride ,(i've got 3 ) should be made compulsory before you are allowed anywhere near a car .

  5. God I’ve seen lots of rebuilt engines worse than that. I would suggest yours is as near perfect as you are likely to get BTW better than 15 psi deviation is the accepted norm

I too have seen worse and would be very happy with those results .

  6. Its down to your sender unit working the wrong way round for your gauges , if you have the ford unit you can alter the float arm by swaping it to the other side of the resistor block by either bending it back on itself and lengthening the arm or cutting it off and soldering it back on the to the rod in the opposite direction after lengthening the arm so that it will then read empty when empty & full when full , jobs a good un ,

I hope you understand this as its getting late and im tired .

Also another problem with doing his depends on you having enough room in the tank for the float to swing in the opposite direction , if this happens another cheat is to unsolder the top fuel pipe and turn through 180 then float is back to the same side as before .

  7. As Bob rightly said add springs at the carb that way if throttle cable brakes your carbs will shut off , as you certainly dont want it the other way round . :o

  8. I had the same problem some while back on an old Porsche that the engine had to turn over at x amount of revs before the fuel pump relay kicked in , so i fitted a push button switch to operate the relay to prime the fuel sytem first and then always started first time .

  11. If you plan to fit one early in your build then you wont waist any battery cables , as you will need longer cables to go through the bulkhead to the switch , i think i got my cables from Premier together with the quick release battery terminals and crimped cable ends , a one shot got the lot .
