  2. Hi Mark, I've dug out the invoice from Dampertech for my shocks; Springs are 1.9 x 8 x 300 front, 1.9 x 10 x 300 rear. Dampers are; 130/090 B12 front, 160/105 B12 rear. These were as recomended by Dampertech. Give them a call they're in Brampton-en-le-Morthern, S Yorks. Cheers Graham
  3. It's worth having a chat to Frank Pickles. Mine is £120 fully comp, agreed value £5K and 5000miles. They would also do a parts only cover for £85!

    What Do You Do?

Left Uni in '75 and started working for a huge muiltinational Pharmaceutical company in the midlands. Worked in lots of jobs in Sales, Sales Management, Marketing Management and finally 32 years later in Business Information. My company then sold my division to a competitor in the south of England so I was offered a good package to retire at 55! Still can't believe I've been so fortunate .

    Newbie Questions

I had to have mine weighed at the request of my MOT station for brake testing. With a full tank of fuel it came in at 760kg. I don't think that adding the two axle weights give you the true kerbside weight as my SVA certificate shows 500Kg on each axle.
  6. Sorry folks but I won't be able to get out tonight. See you next month Graham
  7. Thanks Ian, Looks like I'll have to ask Santa for some Polybushes for Christmas! Cheers for the help and the superfast reply . All the best Graham
  8. Hi, I have a 2b built 2001 with a wishbone conversion of unknown origin. I want to replace the wishbone bushes but I cannot find any the correct size. They are 25.5mm (1inch) diameter body and 36mm (1 and three eight sinch) long overall with 25.5mm (1inch) long between the flanges (cotton bobbin shape). The bolt diameter is 9.5mm (three eighths of an inch) Suggestions on what they are from or potential suppliers would be great. Cheers Graham
  9. Hi All, Should be there! Cheers Graham

  11. Hi Nick, I've done a trawl of the web and found this on a DIY forum "orange of buzzer-left flasher grey of buzzer - right flasher black of buzzer- earth" This infers that your yellow and green are the inputs to the relay for your indicators. Hope thats helpful. See you tomorrow evening Cheers Graham

  17. Does anyone have a spare Auxiliary Shaft for my Pinto? I've finally traced a rattle between 2300 and 2600 rpm to excessive endfloat. I've ordered a new thrust plate from Burtons but it looks as though the shoulder of the thrust plate groove is also worn. If you can help let me know the cost. I'll be at the Stafford Show. Cheers Graham

  23. One of the spade terminals is the earth you need. Not sure which one but if you pick the wrong one some bizarre things happen, I did this after my winter rebuild and relocated on the wrong connector. Everything worked fine until I pressed the windscreen washer and headlights went out!! Not good at 60mph on a derbyshire moor at 11pm!!
  24. HI All, I'll be there this month in my rebuilt car! Sorry to hear of your woes Andy, I thought there must be a problem as my spies / stalkers haven't seen your car recently Cheers Graham
