Thanks for all the input lads, Just got back from looking / test driving and have gone for a BMW 320 D estate.
The jag just did not feel any thing special for the money they were wanting
Thanks again
I could just about manage a 2.0L diesel and buy a set of badges and stripes on my budget steve
Keep posting any suggestions please I have started to look at "other" options now
Thanks
Steve
That reminds me of the day I got to work and my partner was already there
WHY?
He forgot to put his clock back PMSL
Mind you he has never been at work before me since:(
The time has come to start looking for a new car as my 11yo Terrano is starting to show it's age and there are a few jobs I don't want to start spending money on.
I have been on Auto trader today and Jaguar x type 2.2 estates have been catching my eye. I know they are based on Mondeo's so should be ok.
Any one had one?
Anything to look out for
Any better suggestions for a nice looking estate car at around £10,000
All comments welcome
Thanks
Steve
Hey Daz if you don't take note of people that care to take the time to post I don't know I bother
Only joshing luv the shiny bits and I no nowt about the series 111 but hey ho who am I to say I was wrong But don't use trick ( LOL ) pics in the future that don't tell the full story and please use a 3D camera with wheels on full lock from side to side in HD.
Point made
Love the shiny bits LOL and I was WRONG to agree with another post (if that post was wrong)
That was not hard just had to open my eyes or ear's, listen to other peoples point's of view and admit I may be wrong, I may be right or Keep my gob shut

It does not matter which of the 2 front brake ports goes to what side just use the ones that are easiest to fit the lines to.

Have you looked at Europa spares
https://www.europaspares.com/HARNESSES/NUTS_and_BOLTS/EYE_BOLTS__STRESS_PLATES__SEATBELT_NUTS_AND_BOLTS_2335.html
The Zero tubes are 35mm long (11mm ID) so the 50mm ones should be ok
You may have to ring them to find out the dia of the tread is but I suspect 7/16 unf as that appears to have been the standard for years.

No need to weld a nut on as you can get to the nuts after the car is built (removing trim is ok) what belts are you using as our TRS ones that we got with the kit only require normal type bolts.
Steve
Should be no problem, the easy way is to fit one for each warning lamp, otherwise you will have to use diodes to stop them back feeding,
There is probably other ways, but for what you want to achieve I think simple is best.
Steve
I fitted 2 of these for the indicators 1 in parallel for each flasher warning lamps
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=3216
Caution they are loud, I had to put tape round them
Should work the same with any warning lamp

Please point me in the right direction for bushes please as I could not find any to suit.
I would also like to use these mounts but could not find bushes to suit.
Steve
What limits your suspension travel? I just have u brackets welded to flat bar and don't have any problems. Infact I could probabley go up to 450lb springs on the front to stop so mutch travel and stop it it going nose heavey when breaking going down hill.
Steve
I can't for the life of me think why you would want to use them, u brackets and bolts through proper shockers make a much better job, these knacked the bottom bushes in less than 1000 miles on the zimmers.
If you want these ones you are welcolm, PM me your details and I will stick them in the post.

Hi John
Is it the in tank sender / pump unit as fitted to the Rover 2.0 Super spec?
If so I may have a complete unit at work that I took out when I changed the tank.
Let me know and I will have a look.
Steve
I feel sorry for you Tim, looks like you will miss out on the best bit's of wire brushing / de-greasing / painting. Your just going to have to bite the bullet and fit it the way it is. :yahoo:
