I have a Series 3 but I think the scuttles are very similar. Mine is on the back of the scuttle on the passenger side:

I use a VDO tacho which is fed with +12v, earth and the signal comes from pin 11 on the EDIS plug.

My Hood's donor was a 1984 Sierra and I recently used these:

The bushes are made of rubber and are quite flixible, they can be squashed by your fingers:

The 2mm was easily trimmed off the width using a Stanley knife:

Yes they will fit, I have had to trim 2mm off each bush so that they are a tight fit which will mean fitting a washer on each side to keep the bushes in place. At that price I bought 20 to keep me going for a few more years.

I have the same on the front of my Series 3.

I have replaced the bushes several times over the last 17 years as they never last long, the shocks still work OK though. I have just bought some of these on ebay to try:

It is an S7, the Series 3 and 3A have a wider body that covers the ends of the rear suspension beam, yours has covers:

This is how I did mine:

4 bolts through the bulkhead:

Bearing on plate with bearing bolt heads welded to plate:

Mounted from inside foot well:

All nuts tightened with steering column is situ.
