    Dash Poll

Am struggling to decide if to fit individual gauges or the race technology dash 2. What do you think? I like the dash 2 but the also like the look of nice individual gauges just like in the demonstrator zero. shaft is banned form this post as he is hugely biased already :clapping:
  4. As an alternative can you not make it in ply wood and either cover it with carbon fibre vinyl of you can laminated with carbon firbe? Available from carbon mods

  8. Big parts mate. so no oven. I know it would require quite a lot of sanding
  9. Has anybody used the carbon fibre skinning kit. This are supplied by carbonmods. Just wanted to know if you can get a decent finish with them. Nick I know you work in this industry your opinion would be highly valued
  10. Thanks Ian, I would get mine ordered.
  11. Hi Guys thank you for answering my questions yesterday. I do have another one. Can anybody please tell me the connectors that goes to each bolt on the starter motor. There is a big bolt and a small one. Also there is a threaded rod poking out of the solenoid body and finally there is a soldered on connector. Any pointers would be great. I assume the big bolt would be the positive connector and the small one is the earth that connects to engine block, what is the other two. Cheers Femi
  12. cheers paul, I was going for hub centric anyways. Quite worried about pushing the studs out. Do i need an hydraulic press?
  13. Ok, I would space erm out. my wheel has on offset of 38. I would have to get longer bolts for the upright
  14. what offset have people used for the zero. My front wheel is rubbing on the cycle wing.I was thinking of spacing in, or even trimming the inside of cycle wing.

    Electricky

I would start my wiring tomorrow morning. I found the premier loom instructions quite good. Never wired a car before so a novice as well. The westfield page is quite good for information purposes. I layed out my loom after work for like 3 days and labelled everything. So hopefully we would find out how useful that is tomorrow. I have noticed that alot of people including myself are scared of wiring. So i might just do a write with pictures of my installations (plus mistakes) for zero builders

Hi Graham, I got mine on ebay, cost me about £40. Sorry I cannot give you a more precise information. Also where did you get your rubber matting from?
  19. Just dropped in my engine this morning to find out the plenum would not fit. So I know this would not fit a GBS zero. It is the rear facing one. Pictures have been uploaded into my archives in the for sale folder. £120 + postage I have two zetec head gasket. both MLS. Bought them off this forum. With new cylinder head boths - £30 ono for the lot + postage. pictures all in my photobucket link below http://s1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc414/femster87/ cheers. Femi
  20. Thanks Jamie, Did you chop off that bit in between? If you did, Can i be cheeky and get the measures for the spacers off you? I would take it in to work to get it welded up.
  21. If you mean the caps at the back of the upright where the hub nuts goes on. I might have some I would have a look in garage tomorrow and send erm to you. I'll let you know for def tomorrow afternoon
  22. Just fitted my engine into the car. On the nearside the mounting does not fit flush to the engine block. I chopped down some bit of it. but still not flush. What have people done? Spacing it out with washers seems quite weird to me, worried the bolts might snap off. cheers
  23. looking good. Not like garage
