  1. Hi Take your point Longboarder, just a lot of typing, as spread sheet I sent Rob11 gives exactly that and is more explanatory. All adds to the fun of the build......... doesn't it? Regards
  2. Hi what type of conduit are you using?
  3. Hi There are at least four different GBS looms prior to their current plug and play. All differ slightly in colours and features, but all work fine if you can figure them out. Basic rule of thumb Brown = constant live White = ignition live Black = earth Have a spread sheet for the rest if needed, part of the file I posted a section of yesterday, but you will have to PM your email, it,s to big for the forum. Regards Simon
  4. Not quite what I meant. Try attached ford_Switch_wiring.pdf
  5. Hi Red wire going to fuse board is side light feed you attach to 58 feed for 58, through switch is pin 30 which is red just connect to brown, if you need side lights without ignition, white if you don't. Assuming you have the looms I am aware of. Regards Simon
  6. Hi Can't help with the pictures unfortunately, axle weights are front 450 rear 600 total 1050 the vehicle is not that heavy it is just the design weights of the axles Regards Simon
  7. can't see any reason to go with anything bigger than a normal battery, there are less electrical consumers than a standard car, the biggest being the starter. I would get the battery tested, it's the weakest link normally, and it is likely to have been stood, which they don't like, while the car was up for sale. however there are other things that can cause the same systems, such as poor earth's and connections, a common failing on kit cars. You will have to find the output of the alternator you have fitted for advice, kit cars are rarely "standard" and anything could have been fitted. regards
  8. Hi Is that all the indicators or just the led's? Regards

Hi Try www.greatbritishsportscars.co.uk They used to make the kit, so should be able to supply a replacement, if not off the shelf, made to order. Regards
  10. Hi Its the black box on the nearside of the gearbox, near the top of the case. Bolted on with two torx screws, should have two wires coming from it or if lucky a plug. Can be removed with box in car on a Zero, not sure about previous models. Regards
  11. Can't do it that way either PM me with your email and I will send it direct
  12. sorry have found file to big to upload will try and PM
  13. Hi Plug is a little difficult to source, just use insulated crimp spade terminals. Plug terminals are on attached. Ignition feed to one side of warning light, other side goes to terminal that says "warning light circuit connection" rest is as stated. Regards Simon
  14. Hi Both Wiring info comes with gauges from GBS, including connections to their latest loom and ETB gauges They don't use the fog warning light though, prefer to use the one in the switch. Regards
  15. Hi Sounds like you have an early scuttle/dash. some were made so that the dash was removable others the whole scuttle, a lot just prayed they didn't have to go back under there. If you have no alternative but to take a drill to it, have a look at the GBS fiber-glass dash before you do. old dash is cut back to leave a flange, flange is drilled to take riv-nuts and new dash is bolted into scuttle, bit of cutting and trimming, but the dash including clocks etc can be removed in minutes, especially if the dash loom to main loom is mod to plug together. http://www.kitspares.co.uk/shop/item.php?product=5051# Just a thought Regards
  16. Hi Jamie Can check for you tomorrow, as you say, they are pre cut now, so will require measuring. Regards
  17. Hi where did you get your gauges from? Regards
  18. Hi Spare not required for IVA Regards
  19. Hi GBS http://www.robinhoodsportscars.co.uk/ sell new 2ltr Zetec's at a good price but I don't know the work required to convert your vehicle. Talk to Richard at GBS he knows the vehicles well enough to advise. Regards
  20. Hi Position fan on font of rad, cowl fits in between top and bottom headers and cable tie to rad. If it is the fan from GBS, it will actually stay there without ties, but better safe than sorry. Make sure you get the fan revolving in the correct direction when you wire up Regards
  21. Hi totally personnel taste. If you want the retro look, and a lot of work, rivet it on. agree with shaft though both is good. bonding is more than adequate, but even the factory builds use some rivets, hidden admittedly. no right or wrong way. As for the goo, three tubes is more than adequate to bond everything, rivets or not. I thought that came with the kit, so no other purchase necessary, or am I wrong? Regards
  22. Hi change it to double wishbone. He WILL thank you. http://www.kitspares.co.uk/shop/item.php?cat=16&product=5160&catsub=0 Regards
  23. Hi change it to double wishbone. He WILL thank you http://www.kitspares.co.uk/shop/item.php?cat=16&product=5160&catsub=0 Regards
  24. Hi both think you are talking of two different looms, original (of which there are three versions) and the newer plug and play. As you have eight fuses in a line I assume you are with the original. Red wires are side lights the multi connection on fuse six feeds them, dash illumination, and the fog light switch (do not use this for fog light as regulations have changed) fuse 1 and 8 should be empty, if I'm right the thick red wire is probably going to pin 58 on the light switch (grey on ford wiring), and should be the feed for fuse 6. guess its an error in manufacturer. just check the thick red becomes live when lights on, if it does move it opposite the multi red. Regards
  25. Hi Talk to GBS, there is an alternative to raceline coming. regards
