HI my car seams to be running a bit rough a 2 lit injection DOHC . when iI get to about 3.500 revs it seams to miss a bit and lack power until the revs increase and then again at 4500 any ideas to what it could be? Thanks for any help Stephen Altwasser

Hi ant it did cut the solenoid and the key immobilise cut in as well so when I turned the key a relay just kept clicking in the engine compartment and would not turn over at all. The battery was to died with some charge from the jump leads it would go. He checked the amps coming out of the alternator now fine charged the battery at work and drove 55miles home fine. Stephen

Jon it is not that bad put a few screws in the bottom first say 4 evenly spaced do the snip in the fold where the side changes shape and trim around the rear chassi mounting points and trim any excess from the fold so the bottom is up against the side of the tubes. Then form the curve as the video keeping a eye on the bit that can kink where the scuttle is use some clamps and wood to hold and the self tapers at the rear as per video with the pre formed stone guard as a template for the curve needed. It seams daunting but go for it if like me you will have a gap by the scuttle IE not up to the chassi tubes but in line with the scuttle it will look fine when trimmed. Do not try to fix two far along back to the scuttle as this will kink the panel as well. all the best Stephen Altwasser

No not the battery And to make things worse I had all my tools in the back of the hood and not with me. I got a tow out by a passing vw van who seamed to keep driving, then eventually parked me up in a nice side road, not a bus lane or a double yell in sight a great help. The RAC turned up after about 40 mins put some jump leads on and it started. waggled some wires and found the alternator lead had nearly broken through a new connection made and a charge in the battery all sorted. so an easy fix i thought a new alternator at least, well happy. Hi I broke down today on the way to work in my Citroen saxo Diesel of all places in the Blackwall tunnel not the best places. whilest driving the radio would go off the dials would stop working the come on again then in the tunnel with lights on it stoped dead on me What could it be? stephen altwasser Answer to come

I have wondered if the amount of interest shown in this kit could be used as a ploy to up the value of the business. Showing future sales potential to a new owner, and leave them to bare the cost of development and production. Think about all the orders for the 2b this year after the super spec was only available last year. A demand is there for the new car like there was last year for the 2B. Just my thoughts. The final fiting.

Hi when i first offered up my multi bend tube to the wheel, I thought no way would it fit nice see attached pic. but after trimming tubes and bending a bit more have fitted to the mud guard with out any prob. I think I have wider wings. try it sleep on it and try again if not happy it can be done just takes time.( a bit like the rest of the build) all the best Stephen Altwasser

THE MT75 has been fitted to a 2b with a bit of hacking by Graham Bowden with his dohc injection 2b with a mag right up last year. He is at present doing a re build after a bonnet opening inicdent same engine and mods but no aligator bonnet. Stephen Altwasser

That is right it is only toughend glass so shaters in to 1000 bits i still found some under the seat the othe day months after replacing mine. Stephen Altwasser

Hi i have a spare in the garage where are you. I had to go to the factory to collect mine, so got 2. At only £25 its worth it. I looked in to a laminated one but a lot of hassle to get it kite mark. Troy there is a robin hood kit to take the dohc engine I have one on the road and it is great fun. The advantage is it has almost the same chassis as the super spec, with a larger transmission tunnel to take the MT 75 box. You get a lift off bonnet not the dreaded alligator that can cut your head off ( sva tester comment not mine) The seats can keep the full runners as the floor is lower. Its in the Boot but with all the tools not easy to get at,Trolley jack 102 toolkit ,ring spaners, ratchet spaners , top ball joint , bottom ball joint. sealed beam, 2nd jack.fuel can. fuses. polish & cloths.large socket set.torch,first aid kit. test meter, various electrical conectors.warning triangle and tow rope.gloves.
