  1. I didn't even think of the possible bit floating about! It's an oil chamber! Won't find it's way anywhere harmful will it?
  2. The stud is the original ford one so It can't have been to long. I can only assume it has been put in the wrong way at some point when the manifold has been on and off. It's longer at one end. No way am I buying a new head at this stage, I was thinking plenty of high temp silicone on the bolt and maybe some k-seal? It's not a high pressure leak.
  3. I saw today I have water coming from here on my crate blacktop! The original stud is in there and has never had anything else in there. I undid it and ran the engine and there's a flow of coolant, nothing to fast but the engine wasn't up to temp. It's got a crack or some damage in the water jacket I assume? Ideas?
  4. I was planning to attach them to the existing subframe. Which is attached to the monocoque. It's just the wishbones I'm looking to replace.
  5. Which other kits use this subframe and the ugly pressed steel wishbones? Reason I ask is I'm looking into replacing my wishbones with tubular and maybe adjustable ones. I've seen a few how to guides but more interested in an off the shelf option, bit like the type of thing rally design sell for the locost and panther kits.
  6. Ordered some new arches from these guys before I went away, couldn't pay by card on the site, sent a cheque, not been cashed, emails bounce back and phone lines dead. Anyone heard anything on if they've stopped trading?
  7. I'm 6ft6 and fit in an s7, I also fit in another members 2b, it's all in the seats, I have grp seats so I'm basically sitting on the floor. I also have a 60mm spacer on my steering wheel.
  8. After getting my car back from a some what unfinished set up on the dyno my overun was set at 22500rpm, I've lowered it to 1600 now and still sounds like a gun when you come off the revs and worst of all it's at it's loudest in built up areas when I'm driving with a level of caution. How low is your omex set? Also what load do you have set? Blacktop with gsxr ITB's by the way.
  9. Thanks guys, I might grab a whole new set, not quite as much as I thought. Thanks.
  10. Maybe a similar issue to one that was spotted on eBay yesterday.
  11. Thanks very much, I'm fitting to a crate zetec so I'm assuming that won't fit?
  12. That's the exact set I've just fitted a zetec with and pretty much bugger all else, that and the welding help of another member. Might explain why it took me so long and didn't work for ages but that's all I had none the less. Don't get them wet, they get surface rust very quickly.
  13. Still after one of these, thanks.
  14. Just offered 99p with the terms of not reporting to the dvla and police.
  15. I had the exact same thing, the housing my sender is screwed into had a threaded hole to fit a screw which I did and the put a fork connector to that and wired it to the neg on my battery and it's now fine.
  16. I'm sure my fingers will be fine, I've found there's a fair amount of bend in the stalks.
  17. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=231232628606 There you go.
  18. It's the black bit between the silver bit and the wheel. It's 60mm. Cheaper than the rip off momo ones.
  19. I'm 6ft6 and after fitting the pedal box for my zetec conversion i was to tall to turn the wheel, fitted a spacer after John made the suggestion. Sorted! £40 mind you!
  20. Tried all the above, had plugs out and tested them same as you would spark plugs by earthing them on the block, they all glow. Soaked with redex for well over 24 hours, bolted back together and still no joy! ;(
  21. They do have them, they are pricey and I'm not sure they have the holes I need for the arch brackets to fit.
  22. I agree, I could almost certainly do it myself but I want the old one off and new one on in the same hour not week. Anyone know of where I could get them online? Google hasn't bought much up.
