Hi All I have just upgraded my front breaks even though I never turned a wheel with the this brandnew set. I purchased this break kit with my Zero GT kit. The kit comes with standard silver planted calipers, vented discs, new pads and braided brake pipes. I'm looking for £70 plus postage. Cheers Pete

Hi You need to get et15 as this will allow the wheels to fit correctly into the wheel arches and not rub on the support. The stud pattern is standard ford Sierra but the Sierra uses something like a et35 offset. I hope this helps. Pete

I have a 3.6 on 15" wheels and MT75.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give Omex a call and see what they say. Cheers Pete

Gent's I'm after a bit of advice. Do any of you wise men know what the part number is or which model of Ford the air temp sensor that is used in the GBS plenumb is from? Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you all. Cheers Pete

Did you check the engine oil breather? I know a badly blocked system can cause pressure build up in the sump and force oil up past the rings. Just a thought.

Always sorry to hear about a car that has to be broken up to sell it must be gutting! I will take the wilwood callipers and discs if you still have them. Pete

Hi Real shame to see a nice car taken apart but: I'd be interested in alternator and fitting kit, battery & the related cabling for these. I would also be interested in the water system. Let me know what you want for these if you still have them. Cheers Pete

Gents Any idea were I can get a break fluid reservoir for my zero gt build, GBS seem to have been out of stock for months. Cheers Pete

Thanks Simon I'll take a look at how you got round the problem. Did you go back to GBS with the problem? Thanks again Pete

Gent's I'm after a bit of guidance on my Zero build. I am trying to put together the fire wall and scuttle panel but the tabs on the two panels do not line up, when I say they do not line up I mean by 50mm to one side if I line up the two centre tabs. I am thinking that this is due to a manufacturing problem but I would be told I'm missing something. Have any of you come across this problem? Cheers Pete

Gent's It was great to meet some of you and your pride and joy on Sunday, it's really great to see how you have approach some of the build problems and the different styling details that make each and every car individual. Some really top of the line motors out there. Anyway can I get some advice on how you gents set-up the tracking on you cars prior to getting it aligned properly, I know it will not be totally correct but I would like to get it as close as I can. Cheers

Gent's Thanks for the advice, I'm thinking I am going to go down the same rout as dclough. The info supplied is perfect and makes the whole thing a lost easier to grasp, I.m off to the breakers this weekend for an engine loom. Cheers Pete

Hi sounds like a good solution, did you use the GBS main loom in your kit? and did the Focus loom take a lot of modifying to get it all to hook-up? What type of focus did you get your loom from, will it need to be a 2.0 or will another engines loom work? If you have the wiring diagram and pin outs that would be great. Thanks for your help. Pete

Gent,s I was just wondering if it is possible to use the standard Zetech engine loom on my Zero or do I have to buy the GBS loom which seems very expensive? I'm planning to use the Emmeraled ecu and the GBS Plenumb on my build. Your thoughts would be much appreciated. Cheers Pete

Gents I'm just bout to fit my front hub carriers and I was wondering if there is a measurement I can use to set-up the top ball joints correctly. You will appreciate the need to get this bit right. Any help is much appreciated. Cheers Pete

Thanks Gent's I'll look into the premier option as suggested. Cheers Pete

Gent's Has anyone used a rapidfit loom for their project ? I was wondering as they seem to be a lot cheaper than the GBS one so I'm thinking either they are poor quality or there are bit missing or they are a better buy than the GBS loom, why am I missing? Cheers Pete
-
Hi The bit your missing is the standard Ford mt75 mounting point. I got my box from a breaker and it has that mounting point on it, I looked a a few of these boxes before I purchased one and they all had that mounting point bolted to them. If you got the box from GBS then they surely should supply the missing part. Pete

Thanks a lot gents. I'd worked out that the back plate had to be turned but I could not work out how to make it fit properly also I couldn't see any spacers in the kit so it confused me a bit. I'll take a look at he other threads on this subject to see what the best way forward is. Life would be much easier if this thing hand a build manual, but I guess it's all part of the fun! Cheers Pete
