  1. I have read a few zetec conversions and it never seems as simple as it should be. Maybe it's me wanting too much of an easy life!

If zetec is simplest then I think will stick with another pinto as that will be plug and play. As I said, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something like a moon buggy engine is a straight swap and better than a pinto.

  2. By summer I should be in a position to swap out my none working pinto for a replacement engine. I dont want to mess about fitting a zetec so wondered what engine and gear box combinations are straight fit onto each other and subsequently onto my existing prop.

Wiring etc I have no problem with so efi engines are fine. But the simpler the mechanical fit the better.

I know the simple answer is to fit another pinto and i most likely will, just want to make sure i don't miss out on something that could be better!

  3. UPDATE

Just spoken to Matt and can confirm tomorrow's rolling road day is now CANCELLED due to the weather conditions. They have approximately over 2inches of snow there and still falling heavy.

On a side note be careful if you are having to venture out, some major roads including the M42 have not been gritted!

Rolling road day - Tour de force

Not sure if there will be much interest from here bug I have arranged rolling road day at Tour de force. If you haven't heard of them before they are a proper motorsport company that build engines/cars from stock refresh to true touring car spec monsters!

Their chassis dyno is also highly accurate, it is regularly calibrated against their engine dyno so you are guaranteed an accurate result!

    What?

A rolling road day with feedback and advice from a professional motorsport engineer.m, oh and free drinks and nibbles!
