either borrow an arc and get some stainless rods or get it welded with a tig. mig is ok but as you have put this thread under chassis i presume you want to weld your chassis and therefore wouldnt recommend an amature using a mig on a chassis as the set needs pure argon and needs setting up correctly to get the right temperature into to 2 parts to be joined to form a perfect weld. asthis is potentially a safety issue i would ask someone local with experience of welding stainless to help you set up your mig set for the job. hope this is of help steven

bill, ive not really got that much to do now. been carrying on with the build but at a slow pace. i think i might keep it and finish it but wether i keep it after its done i dont know yet. about meeting up, that would be really good. there isnt a rush cos ive still got 11 months notice to serve!!! steve

if any 1 needs any sealant for their fuel tank i can get hold os some stuff called PRC it is used for sealing fuel tanks on aeroplanes and i am goin to use it on mine. steve

hi daniel, a 2B with wishbone front suspension and stainless chassis and panels would be your best bet. if you ask around people in your local area or go to a local meet you will be able to see and maybe try a few different types of hood. steve

i was navigating!!!!! anyway, an altogether bad day. first time ive not completed a rally and to go out on the second stage was gutting. to say i wasnt paying attention to the road isnt true, but he isnt to hard to miss, even at 100mph!!! steve

was out at weeton today and i could swear i seen big jim marshalling. was it you? i was in a yellow escort cossie, number 42. had a bad day. both front disks and calipers exploded and made us run off. luckily we had a grass run of and were ok but the brakes are a mess. will post pictures soon. just goes to show how muchdamage can happen. steve

hi all, my 2003 wishboned 2B is up for sale. all pictures can be found on my web site(link below) it is for sale due to work commitments. the car has been built to a high standard and no expense has been spared with the vauxhall engine conversion. all conversion parts are brand new and included are a kevlar clutch(£120) sbd sump, bell housing, and manifold, 2 brand new weber 45 carbs. the car still has the servo function for the brakes and i have also got all new brake components, including front calipers. all the bits needed to finish are included except seats and distributor. also have 4 brand new 15 inch alloys wrapped in lovely new yokos i am asking £4000 thanks for looking steve

im building a 2b with the 20xe, ive bought all the parts and got the engine fitted but due to work ive got to sell it part built. you can see my car on my site (link is below). As my membership hasnt been processed i cant advertise it on this site but it is advertised here .

why not take it apart, carry the bits onto the drive then re-build it!!!
