Radius Edges

On recent SVA inspector did not accept the hole through which the exhaust passes through the side panel not having a radius edge.

Ditto the edge of the exhaust heat protector which i had put on snap on edge trim (not fire resistant).

Can anyone suggest an easy fix to this.

I had no edge trim round the exhaust hole at LB and passed (retest last monday!) I had trim on the leading edge of the silencer cover and failed so I trimmed the cover to be about 1/8 in longer than the silencer and the hammered it round the silencer rim. To get it to curve you need to cut some thin slots. Then I worked it over with a fine sander (Dremmel like ) to get it smooth. A bit laborious but it looks OK.

PS according to the RS website edge trim (RS part # 823-550) has a temp range of -40 -> +80 degC maybe you can convince the SVA man that yours wont get above 80! There is, in the SVA section I think, a post of someone doing just that. :)
