Rear Fog Light

hi all,

does anyone know if the rear fog light has to be on a particular side of the car. My other hood's fog light is on the right and so is the tintops. Just wondered, as i have a dent to hide.

Thanks, Steve

If only one is fitted then it has to be On the right unless you want to fit two and you can have one on either side then

There are height restrictions as well I believe, worth checking before fitting.

The NW site here has the dims for all lighting. the only thing thats missing as far as I can see is the info on the rear fog can be in the centre of the back as Dave says

Not exactly sure about when it should operate, but the switch I have fitted on my SuperSpec is from a Ford Focus. You turn it to switch the sidelights then headlights on, and then pull the switch out to activate the fog light. You can only pull it out one the headlights are switched on, so this suggests that the production car will only let you operate the fog light when the headlights are on. Not exactly sure what the SVA regulations state, but it passed last year...

Hi Steve,

Mine passed recently and could be activated as soon as the sidelights were turned on.

Vertical plane is not strictly true. There's a 5 degree tolerence (mine was 4 degrees and was deemed OK).

Yeah I'd agree, my car got through SVA fine and the lights are screwed straight onto the back panel which means the lenses are definaltely not vertical.
