What Could Have Caused This

Anybody know what could have caused this to the exhaust? and how much packing do i need to put in

Don't know what caused it but the RH can itook of my car was exactly the same I had put up with the bloody thing being noisy and having what Ithought was a loose baffle [vibs/sizzling noise!! ] replaced it with a repackable from MK no more probs [usual disclamer ,Iused them because they are on ny door step] not silly expensive ,140 quid but well worth it HTH mower man

probably fatigue due to vibrations from the engine. The robin hood exhausts are/were susceptible to failing like this.

I replaced mine for similar reasons it was more like a mega phone than silencer

Looks more like a very poor attempt by whoever made the silencer to make it a bit quieter before it was welded together by introducing some additional restriction.

i have a motorbike exhaust on my 2.0 pinto 2b and it seems ok. cant remember what bike it was off but as long as the i.d is similar to whatever the manifold is it should be fine imo

hi any after market bike silencer will be ok people make too much fuss and charge stupid money for bike silencers at the end of the day its a can with a perf tube through it stuffed with wading. its the down pipes/manifold that matters cheers nick
