Air Filter Bump

i have a k&n but with the filter all put together it sticks too high and i dont realy want to cut the bonnet and have a hole so thought of a bulge instead but have no idea where to get one any one with any ideas?

what engine, what carb, i have one for a pinto/dgas that fitted under mine, home made. not needed now i have gone duratec

There is an adaptor mad for twin chocke downdrafts that allows you to run a pipe to a cone filter in the nose.

thanks snapper but not sure if that would be too tall but liking the idea of a cone filter in nose cone

You could fabricate your own using the filter bottom plate

Have u tried looking on eBay under universal bonnet scoop etc...? Loads of scoops, lumps and bumps to look through!

how much space have you got between the flange on the carb to the bonnet ?

hi i think there is about a inch or inch and half not sure till i get chance to check.

measure it from the flange where the fixing holes are, and i will see if mine will fit

pipercross do a foam filter.

so i has a alu basplate with a foam "dome" over it. sits at 1" high maybe. i had one about 5/6 years ago

 

no issues with bonnet clearance there... i'll see if i can dig out a link
