Got the chance for a jaguar 3 litre v8, are there any problems fitting them in a kit car. I notice most people go for the rover v8. It's the whole car I'me getting so everything will be available.

Never seen it done or read about it but with a vision an angle grinder, a welder and lots of patients I am sure it could be done.

1st thing is to put a tape all around the engine to see if it is feasible.

Issues with immobilizers and other quirky wiring might be the biggest problem to overcome.

Good luck, it will be an interesting read if you do go with it.

The smallest Jag V8 is 3.2litre and 240 bhp, hardly any more power than the 3.0 litre V6 which is almost certainly a smaller engine physically and already been fitted to a RH.

Someone has to be the first to try and fit one though!

Not sure yet if I want to break the car, it's a v reg s type in very good condition only problem with it is the rear bushes they've had it, anybody know what sort of money you would be looking at to replace them. The car has tax and mot until October. Collectors car of the future perhaps?
